The vibrant campus of Nirma University buzzed with excitement on August 31st, 2024 as the Electrical Engineering Students’ Association (EESA) inaugurated their much-anticipated event Vidyut Adbhutam ‘24 themed “Feel the Energy”. The grand opening ceremony was a light of inspiration, setting the stage for a day filled with cutting-edge innovation and knowledge.
The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony by dignitaries, followed by Dr. S. C. Vora (Head, Department of Electrical Engineering) who introduced the Chief Guest for the event, Mr. Akshayraj Makwana, IPS, SP-Banaskantha, and Dr. R. N. Patel, Director, ITNU. Dr. S.C. Vora outlined the event’s agenda, emphasizing its theme. The chief guest delivered a speech on rising cybercrimes and how one can stay safe from cyber fraud.
The event began on August 30th with engaging Aerotronics and Cell Care sessions conducted by Mr. Shubham Mishra, Founder, Battery Ok Technologies, offering participants hands-on experience in drone design and deep insights into EVs and battery management. This perfect blend of practical learning and technical knowledge set the tone for a transformative experience in sustainable transportation.
As Day 2 of Vidyut Adbhutam ’24 concluded, students had dynamic events like Battle of Bands, which offered hands-on circuit design experience, and Deal Breaker, where innovators pitched their ideas to judges. This was followed by the Job Junction event, designed to enhance interview skills and boost the participants’ confidence for future career opportunities. To make this a path to real interview experience, there were panelists from different industries such as Mr. Jitu Mistry, HR, Inductotherm India Ltd, and Mr. Sumit Joshi, Founder Sacesta Technology. The day wrapped up with the exciting Crank Zone, featuring a competitive robotic car race with an exciting prize pool.
On a concluding note, Vidyut Adbhutam’24 wrapped up with a valedictory session, where prizes were awarded to the winners of various competitions, followed by a heartfelt thank-you speech from the President of EESA.
