A one-day Theory cum Practical Energy Conservation Awareness Workshop was conducted for B.Tech Electrical Engineering students (Semester VI, Divisions A & B) on 9th January under the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) Awareness Initiative 2025–26. The session was delivered by Dr. Raju Shah, Industrial Consultant, ESCON TECH, who shared valuable insights on the need for energy and environmental conservation.
The workshop covered energy conservation opportunities in industrial utilities such as pumps, compressors, fans, lighting, and HVAC systems. It also highlighted the importance of star-labeled equipment, Energy Conservation Act, and BEE initiatives including PAT, Star Labelling, and ECBC, along with an overview of energy auditing, instrumentation, and renewable energy. The session provided a practical and industry-oriented perspective on sustainable energy practices.
