IEEE Gujarat Section in collaboration Nirma University had organised Two Day Workshop “Emerging Research Topics in Engineering (ERTE)”, on 02-03 February 2019, with theme of the workshop is Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. Eminent experts of these areas from academia and industry such as IBM Research Lab, IISc Banglore, University of Hyderabad, Rygbee Inc., DA-IICT were invited to share their knowledge with the participants on the topics of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. ERTE was sponsored and supported by Rygbee Inc. and GUJCOST (DST).The workshop was coordinated by Prof Manisha Shah. ERTE 2019 got overwhelming response where in around 100 delegates from various engineering colleges of state and industry professionals had registered and attended the workshop. A PhD forum was organised on second day of the workshop, which had given a platform to PhD scholars to make oral presentation based on their work and took the suggestions/ feedback from the eminent panelist from academia and industries as well as from the participants of ERTE 2019 working in that domain. The event was also graced by e-Chai, Global offline-online Start-up Social Network. The event was a grand success and was greatly appreciated by the participants.
