Department has very strong linkages with several industries and research organisations. Large number of industry experts are invited in each semester for delivering expert lectures to the students as a part of collaborative teaching. Industry experts train students not only for industry practices, but for the soft skills and aptitude development also. Industry visits are arranged for each semester in nearby industries. Students are placed in industries for summer internship, training, major projects and for jobs (career placement). Experts from industries, R&D organisations and academia are also inducted in the Statutory Body of the Department i.e., the Board of Studies, where these experts give their valuable inputs in framing the teaching schemes and curriculum of various programmes of the Department.
