The IEEE Nirma University Student Branch has organised an expert talk on August 2, 2025, on pivotal topics in power electronics. The session featured by distinguished IEEE Fellow and professor Akshay Kumar Rathore from the National University of Singapore (NUS), a global authority in power electronics and motor drives. The session is graced by Shri Deepak Mathur, key member of MGA IEEE.
The expert highlighted the crucial role of power electronics as the key enabler for achieving net-zero emissions, power electronics in electrification and snubber less current fed converters.
Attendees, including students and faculty from various institute of Gujarat has gained valuable insights from experimental results and benchmark comparisons demonstrating the superiority of these innovative designs over conventional systems, along with insights into multilevel converters and bidirectional DAB evaluation.
